I'm Doug, KB2UKA. I've been licensed since 1992. I spend most of my radio time on 20, 40, and 80 meters, working on eSSB audio and ZeusSDR™.
I run ZeusSDR™ on Omarchy with an ANAN-G2. My microphone is an Electro-Voice RE27N/D, with audio processed in REAPER before it reaches the radio. The station also includes an RME Babyface Pro FS interface and an RF2K-S amplifier.
Only the weak stay on Windows. Yes, I keep Windows machines around. Somebody has to test it.
REAPER handles my transmit-audio processing. I adjust EQ and compression and listen to reports from the other end.
When I have public listening enabled, you can hear my ANAN-G2 and watch its waterfall in your browser through ZeusSDR™. Receive audio only. Nothing to install.
ZeusSDR™ started with things I wanted to change about operating my own radio. I hadn't written code before this project. I use AI coding tools to implement ideas, while I decide how the software should work and check it at the station. That's what I mean by vibe coding.
ZeusSDR™ is my SDR client for HPSDR radios. It runs on macOS, Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. I use it with my G2 and keep developing it as I operate.
Home server. My home server runs Unraid. It holds files and backups and hosts virtual machines used for development and testing.
Local AI. A Mac Studio runs local AI models. I use local AI alongside the cloud coding tools I work with.
Builds and tests. The lab includes CI runners and test machines for Windows, Linux, and macOS. They handle builds and automated checks for ZeusSDR™. The Mac Studio and Mac mini cover macOS testing, the OptiPlex covers Linux, and dedicated Windows machines cover Windows.
I share station experiments, eSSB audio, SDR, and software work on YouTube. You'll also find live operating there.
